The Sundown Rundown – January 2023

Hey there, bookaholics!

The end of January is nigh! And I am not mad about it. I don’t feel fond of the first two months of the year. Maybe it’s because it’s cold. Maybe it’s because it’s still winter. Maybe it’s because it’s still getting dark too early. LOL. So, I’m pretty excited the month is coming to an end.

As the sun sets on the day and the month, I’ve got the wrap-up for the month. I managed five books and feel pretty good about that. I wasn’t able to tackle any books set for my bookish resolution yet, but very soon! I can’t wait to share them. I’m sadly about seven or eight books behind in reviews. For now, take a scroll to catch up on reviews you might’ve missed. Who knows, you may find one to put on your TBR.

Amazon

“Secrets. They add to the darkness of the world but the also make you want to find out more…”

Taltos

Author: Anne Rice

The Graveyard Book

“Leave no path untaken. A difficult challenge, but I can try my best.”

Favorite Book This Month: Howl by Shaun David Hutchinson really grabbed me with its duality. He captured handling and healing from a traumatic event. It connects with teens on difficult

Least Favorite Book This Month: Taltos by Anne Rice but only just barely and because I have to pick one. It’s not to dishonor the incredible author. But, I did struggle a bit because of how dense the book could get and the fact that it was draining. Impeccable writing and thought-provoking with stellar imagery.

More to come soon…
