Hey there, book clan!
I hope you guys are doing well! Things are in a bit of disarray on my end, but when aren’t they? LOL.
This is a bi-weekly post when I get to share a couple of quotes or lines from books I’ve read and (possibly) enjoyed. Whether it’s the inspiration, writing, or even the humor or how bad it is, these words have left a mark. Maybe you can relate to these or you’ve read the books as well. Maybe these will get you to add new books to your TBR.
This time around I was inspired by fate and the weight and emotion it can invoke.
“The raindrops were tears too. The whole world was crying.” (Pan’s Labyrinth, Guillermo Del Toro)
This was an overwhelming line. Emotional and heavy to imagine a moment that’s so huge and heartbreaking that the whole world would cry. This one took my breath away.
“We don’t always have a choice in our fate.” (The Queen of Nothing, Holly Black)
This is a line that unhinged me a little. To think about all that is already out of our control anyway and then add fate to that…it’s alarming.
More to come soon…
-K.
