Hey there, book wanderers!
Hey guys! I hope you are doing well. As is typical every other week, I’ve got a couple of lines from books I’ve read and (possibly) enjoyed. Whether they left an impact that left me thoughtful about my own life, made me melt, or just had me bust a gut, I wanted to share. Maybe you’ve read the book or maybe you =’ll add it to your own TBR. One really good line can do that.
So, here you go. Stay swanky, book humes.
“I am hunting the hunter, and he suspects it. The game is on.” (The Sun Down Motel, Simone St. James)
What a way to hook me to the story. Should be the tagline. That and there are ghosts! This was such a good one because while this is a technical mystery with a sub-genre of supernatural, it was thrilling. I love the trope of stepping up to a life-threatening challenge.
“It doesn’t take much to destroy the world as humans know it.” (Windfall, Rachel Caine)
Boy ain’t this the truth. It’s happening as we know it. LOL. And I am going to have that R.E.M. song stuck in my head for a while.
More to come soon…
-K.
