Hey there, book clan!
There’s are lines in books that leave a mark. They could make you laugh, cry, even piss you off. Whether it’s how poorly writen they are or the emotions they evoke, they’re pretty powerful. All of that is what inspired this post for me. I also wanted to share with as much brevity as possible. You guys have lives. LOL. No need to make this some long essay. Still, I also hope to inspire or instigate canversation about these and their books. Who knows, maybe you’ll add them to your TBR if you haven’t read them yet.
This Sunday: Leigh Bardugo. The Shadow and Bone Trilogy was a struggle for me. I could not get into and found it swamped in niavity, ridiculous expectations, and drama of the idiot kind. Look out for my reviews if you’re curious for more. For now…
“The less you say, the more weight your words will carry” (Seige and Storm, Leigh Bardugo)
Silence always says more than words could ever say. This was certainly a reminder of that and to always pick them carefully.
“Hope was tricky like water. Somehow it always found a way in.” (Ruin and Rising, Leigh Bardugo)
Just like at the bottom of Pandora’s box. It’s a comforting feeling, hope. The description that it is like liquid, so fluid and shaped however we want makes it almost possible to see.
More to come soon…
-K.
