The Scarlet Playlist – Aug. 8, 2022

Hey there, bookworms!

Happy Monday! I hope you guys are having a good start to your week. This is The Scarlet Playlist. As you’ve probably guessed, I share a weekly playlist where I get to share some of my music interests. And trust me, my music is erratic and eclectic like a Chameleon at a music festival. This post started from my love of a good reading playlist. Much like with movies and TV shows, music can also making the reading experience more intense and feeling. This doesn’t have to be that for you, however. Feel free to do what you want with it. Heck, make it a workout playlist or a nap playlist. Whatever you desire. Who knows, maybe this week is already stressful hellish and some downtime with tunes is just what you need. Whatever the case, I compiled this for you guys. Stay swanky, book humes.

1. Fragile – Maria Mena

2. Wish You Were Here – Kate Voegele (One Tree Hill may have introduced me to KV, but she put me in the thoughtful feels.)

3. Fast Car – Tracy Chapman

4. When It Comes – Tyler Hilton (I’ll never not love this one. A good one to drive to.)

5. Ready to Run – One Direction

6. Halo – Beyonce (Probably the most surprising on this week’s playlist, but its slow rhythm and heartfelt lyrics are a mood.)

7. All You Will Ever Know – Avril Lavigne

8. Never Far Behind – Aly & Aj

9. Perfect – One Direction

10. Fire & Rain – Mat Kearney

11. Big Yellow Taxi – Counting Crows ft. Vanessa Carlton (Oh you’ll sing this one right as it pinches your heart. Originally by Joni Mitchell, this one is still pretty great.)

12. Before You Go – Lewis Capaldi

More to come soon…

-K.
