Hey there, book nerds!
I hope the weekend has been good to you. This is the Speedy Quote Sunday where I get the chance to share a couple of lines from books I’ve read and even possibly liked, and in a speedy fashion because I know you’ve got other things to do today. In one way or another, these lines have struck me either emotionally, thoughtfully, or just given the giggles. Some lines are just delivered so well. Here’s a couple, and who knows, maybe you’ll add these books to your own TBR if you haven’t read them already.
“Never is like forever.” (The Cruel Prince, Holly Black)
Take this how you will. For me, this was filled with melancholy. Yet, it was boundless as both of these things are. Much like love and hate, they both walk a fine line that you can barely see.
“Memories, like hearts, can be stolen.” (Kingdom of the Wicked, Kerri Maniscalco)
Though heartbreaking, this was also kind of sweet. Then again if you go the gory route like this book did on occasion–not sweet.
More to come soon…
-K.
