Hey there, book clan!
May has been a busy month! My hours at the bakery have increased, but so has my reading. I can’t believe the stack I have to review still and that I’m actually behind. It’s been a few years since that’s happened. I’m not complaining though. No way.
And not only have I been getting some seriously epic reading in, but series binging too! That’s right, I’m talking about Stranger Things. I know a lot of people are super emotional at the moment about it. It’s been pretty dark and the group is split and cracked like a mirror, but I don’t think we’ve really gotten to the emotional parts. There are only two more episodes left and I have to figure they’re pretty damn intense if we are being forced to wait to see them. That’s when the emotional bomb will hit. I’m not ready. However, the new character additions of Eddie and Argyle are freaking rad. Absolutely spectacular.
But, back on topic real quick-like, as the sun sets on May so it does on this month’s reading. Take a scroll to see what you might’ve missed this month.

The Wicked King
Author: Holly Black

Favorite Book This Month: The Wicked King was painfully delicious and just snatched my heart this month. Oh gods, it was stunning. Trickery, desire, and devious intentions.
Least Favorite Book This Month: Deity by JLA was a doozy. Soo much didn’t need to be and made the book feel drawn out while the characters seemed to lack no common sense and weren’t all that bright. But damn if I don’t come because there’s a plot twist that tweeks one of my nerves and keeps my attention.
More to come soon…
