Hey there, book mongers!
Happy Monday! I hope you are all doing well. I figure a decent start to your week would be some good tunes to listen to. I came up with this weekly post because I enjoy reading to music. It makes for a wonderful soundtrack and can amplify the emotions of a story. However, just because I enjoy a reading playlist doesn’t mean you have to make this your reading playlist. Make it your workout playlist or even get your karaoke on during the drive to work. It’s whatever you want, I compiled it for you guys.
The first song really kicked this week’s playlist off pretty well. (I know. I’m a Swiftie. Whatcha going to do?)Change is much like life. It’s happening, every day, and before you know it, it’s past. Life is scary and though sometimes it can fall into a dark place, there’s always this moment you look back on it. Nostalgia. And it’s contemplative. It’s stunning. This playlist was inspired by this feeling. Fall always gets me this way.
1. Change – Taylor Swift
2. Most Girls – Hailee Steinfeld
3. Lifeline – Matt Kearney
4. Collide – Ed Sheeran (I’ve never been a huge Sheeran fan in the past but this song-this album-changed that so fast.)
5. Only One – Lifehouse
6. Somewhere In Between – Lifehouse
7. Never Far Behind – Aly & Aj
8. Mercy – OneRepbulic
9. Night So Long – HAIM
10. Come As You Are – Civil Twilight (Okay, yes, I had a momentary TVD moment. Still, I love their use of acoustic.)
11. Tuesday Morning – Michelle Branch (For some reason, Tuesday is my favorite day of the week.)
12. Come back to Me – David Cook
More to come soon…
-K.
