Hey there, book demolishers!
First off, Happy Halloween! It’s the best time of year. Time for spooks and sweets. I love it! But, holy hell, I can hardly believe we’re at the end of the month already. LOL. Time flies. While it has, I have been bombarded by work so I didn’t get out as many reviews as I’d hoped. Still, the spooky reading has been amazing. I can’t wait to share some more of these horror reads with you guys.
Still, winding down from the spookiest month of the year, the sun is setting sooner and the days grow colder. Personally, I’m warming up my tea and getting those fuzzy socks on. I am one of those people you will hear say, “It’s cold.” all the fecking time.
But while we’re working on getting cozy, here’s what I tackled this month, so you’ve got a chance to catch up if you’ve missed any reviews.
The Merciless (The Merciless #1)
Author: Danielle Vega

Be careful making new friends. Sometimes they’ll con you into doing an exorcism with them. But when it seems like nothing is happening and it’s merely torture, it all goes wrong.
The Dark Tower (The Dark Tower #7)
Author: Stephen King

In the final stretch of the journey to the Tower, Roland and his ka’s destinies come to fruition. Much is lost and strained and the ends nears.
Whiskey Words & a Shovel
Author: R. H, Sin

Elegant and vividly emotional poetry that stretches and caresses love and endears women. A true show of worth.
The Phantom of the Opera
Author: Gaston Leroux

A dramatic and deadly love triangle ensues in the opera house where an up-and-coming singer is stuck between the phantom ghost that obsessively pursues her and a long-lost childhood friend that sees as so much more. Death and terror await amid the addictive drama.
Favorite Book this Month: I couldn’t put The Merciless down. It was so good! Such an attention grabber and a captivating book or horror that really touches on the action/jump scare of the ge. And the plot twists!
Least Favorite Book this Month: If I have to choose it’ll be The Dark Tower but only for the reason that it took so long to read. A little over two years, guys.
More to come soon…
-K.
