Midnight Tease – June 2021

Hey there, book cult!

What are you doing up so late!? A night owl? Like, moi? Splendid! There’s nothing like a midnight snack and a good book. LOL. And since you’re up you can take a scroll and see what’s coming up this month on my TBR! I’m pretty thrilled about it. The summer reading lists are coming this months too! This is one of my favorite times of the year. I get all kinds of giddy. This month has some great reads coming, too. Take a scroll and see for yourself.

Coming Soon…

Go The Distance
Author: Jen Calonita

I haven’t been too interested in the twisted tales series. I know they’re such a hit, but it’s been a meh stance for me…until now. A major lover of Greek mythology, I also loved Hercules. Meg is a idol of mine. So this was an instant grab. I also have the Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland twisted tales; another two Disney tales that are beloved.

Author: John Lewis

I’m very excited to dig into this non-fiction piece on the Civil Rights Movement. History is tricky for me to get into because it can be stale and difficult sometimes. Still, its importance, is not lost on me and I applaud the avenue Lewis took to tell his tale.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Author: Stephen Chbosky

I remember seeing the movie not long after its release and was moved in such an emotional way that it took me a while to come to terms with it. I really looking forward to finally getting to read the book.

Beautiful Redemption
Author: Jamie McGuire

Shakespeare For Squirrels
Author: Christopher Moore

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Author: Ann Brashares

Up For Review…

Serpent of Venice
Author: Christopher Moore

The Black Kids
