Hey there, book lovers!
It is the witching hour and, in my opinion, the best time to get some good reading in. If you’re up this late then you may be jus tlike me. A night owl. Not a damn thing wrong with that. LOL.
So, I just took a trip over the weekend and hit up a couple bookstores. My weak spot. I found a few new releases to tackle this year and a couple that are on my list to read as a part of a Top 100 To Read poster list. Not a single regret about grabbing them, though they do add to my book mountain…Yeah, I just keep ignoring it. Though, I’m sure one day I’ll have to climb it at one point. LOL.
Now, grab a snack and take a scroll to see what I’ve got coming up this month on The Scarlet Reader.
Coming Soon…

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Omnibus Vol. 5
Author: Joss Whedon
Chugging along in the series and still loving it. Also, Buffy and Faith facing off on the cover? Juicy!

Black Kids
Author: Christina Hammonds Reed
A new release that is on the corner of BLM and also takes place during the era I was born, the 90s. I’m very excited to dive into this one. I’ve heard so many good reviews, that it’s a must-read.

That Summer
Author: Sarah Dessen
I’ve never read Dessen and thought this would be a nice one to start with. Also, summer! I love summer and am starting to get impatient about it.

the mermaid’s voice returns in this one
Author: Amanda Lovelace
Very excited to finally finish this trilogy. I find the bluntness and thematics refreshing and to the point. That can be very nice in poetry.
Currently…

Serpent of Venice/Shakespeare For Squirrels
Author: Christopher Moore
