Midnight Tease – April 2021

Hey there, book hoarders!

April is here! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to get my flowers blooming, for the weather to be eighty degrees, and for the nights to be alight with fireflies and singing crickets. I’ve already begun planting some of my seeds so they’ll be ready for the warmer weather. My little birdhouse and feeder are good to go. I’ve just got to get he yard cleaned out.

March was a month of catch-up but this month I’m quite excited about a couple books I’ve got on my TBR. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. You know how it goes. Now, with the midnight hour ringing in, here’s what’s coming up this month!

Coming Soon…

Heat Stroke (Weather Warden #2)
Author: Rachel Caine

I just started this series and fell in love with it so fast. Spunky and quippy with a side of Djinn and deadly weather patterns. I love meteorology.

The Catcher and the Rye
Author: J. R. Salinger

From time to time I find myself delving into a classic. I also got a couple of those posters where I get to satisfyingly scratch off each book I’ve read and this happens to be one of them. Woo!

Serpent of Venice & Shakespeare For Squirrels
Author: Christopher Moore

I’m SO STOKED to finally get to these ones. You hear me say that at least once a month. LOL. But, I love Christopher Moore. He is incredibly talented and deserves so much praise for his ability to shape and twist Shakespeare. He gives so much humor to his re-tellings and I really enjoy that. From King Lear to Merchant of Venice now comes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, my favorite play. I can’t wait! Squeeee!

Out of the Easy
Author: Ruta Sepetys

Penguin Random House
Midnight Bites
Author: Rachel Caine

The Brightest Night (Origin #3)
Author: Rachel Caine

Up For Review…

Ill Wind (Weather Wind #1)
Author: Rachel Caine

BTVS Omnibus: Vol. 3
Author: Joss Whedon

Currently, I’m still working on House of Leaves (Goodreads) but it’s become my morning read before work, so it’s going to take some time to complete. What are you reading right now?

More to come soon…
