Hey there, book lovers!
I hope your March is going well. At the moment, I’m gearing up and helping my mum get ready for back surgery. It’s been a bit of a stressful time. I figured while I’m still working on two—okay, three—books I’ll plug in a book tag! And, I find this one to be perfect. Short, sweet, and lucky. Snaggled from Lauren’s Boook Shelf, let’s get our St. Patrick’s Day going a little early with a book tag!
End of the Rainbow: What book did you have a hard time tracking down a copy of?
Soo, I still haven’t gotten Finale by Stephanie Garber yet, which also mean sI have yet to read it. I know! It’s been out for a while now! Honestly, there’s an edition of it I’ve been on the lookout for that came in the special edition of Owlcrate and so I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for extra copies or possible lucky finds but have had no luck so far.
Pot of Gold: When you found that book, was it worth the quest?
I haven’t found it yet, but I feel in my gut that not only will reading this final part to a phenomenal trilogy be spellbinding, but I’ll be squealing and looking like an idiot when/if I ever get my hands on it.
Celebrating a Rich Heritage: Name a book that contains a well-developed culture.
This one was tricky because there are a few goods ones out that I can spout off. But. At the moment, I’m finishing up the All Souls Trilogy and it is incredibly developed from the magical and supernatural aspect not to mention the history and science that thread through it. Just beautiful and breathtaking the way Harkness brought magic into the real world with such tenderness and plausibility.
Shamrock Shakes: What’s your favorite food to snack on while reading?
Not entirely sure how much I put shamrock shakes into the holiday and history of St. Patrick’s Day, but I’m quite the foodie so…
I have quite the snack pile, but I love eating Pocky. It’s not homemade or anything, but I can chomp a package of those down so fast and they taste so good! My go-to flavor is crunchy strawberry.
Four Leaf Clover: Name a book you thought would be ‘just another generic book’, but turned out to be something great.
If I’ve talked about this one once I’ve talked about it a MILLION times. When I was working at the bookstore I picked up a book for three dollars without much thought except that the description was curious and I needed something new to read. Little did I know just how obsessed I’d become about it. The Arcana Chronicles was and is a fantastic series that always catches me, ripping me in one direction and then another. It takes me for a ride every time.
Irish Whiskey: What’s your favorite tradition of St. Patrick’s Day?
I love the color green so wearing it is pretty easy, Outside of that, I tend to steer towards wearing some of the things athat I deem luck such as my four leaf closver and my charm bracelet.
More to come soon…
