New Year’s Resolution for 2021: Book Edition

Giphy

Hey, book lovers!

Happy New Year! I hope it’s off to a great start. IT’s about that time where resolutions start popping up like dandelions that have wishes that need blowing. Personally, I’m a fly by the seat of your pants, let the fates do the work. Sure, I’ve got my goals that I will always strive for, but I find that setting up a NYR really puts me on the wire and that kind of pressure is rather uncomfortable. I could a resolution to be kinder, more open to new things, to get to a place I’ve always wanted to be whether physically or in another way. But, honestly, I strive for those things without a resolution. Constantly.

That being said, I do put up a different kind of resolution every year. A bookish kind. I know that Goodreads has its goal of how many books to read during the year, but that’s not what I do. I seek out ways to broaden my horizons. Last year, I revisited a few book series that I love and it was so much fun. This year, I’m taking on the graphic novel. I’m very excited to do it too! It’ll mean a whole new way to do reviews! A whole new perspective. A whole new everything just about. I can’t wait. I love graphic novels. They’re involving on a whole other level and vivid and just approach storytelling from a different angle. And let’s not forget the stunning artwork.

Below is a snippet of what I’m diving into! Some historical and some of my favorite genre and shows. I can’t wait to geek out at you guys.

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Omnibus
  • March
  • Maus
  • Stranger Things
March, Stranger Things, Maus, BTVS

I’ve already dug in and am really loving it. I can’t wait to share my reviews! Love you, puppies. Have a fantastic day!

More to come soon…
