Hey there, book demolishers!
It is the midnight hour and if you’re like me then you’re quite the night owl! It’s the beginning of a new month and a new year. I’m always so excited to get some reading in and gush about them in reviews. If you’re new to The Scarlet Reader, welcome, and here are the books on my TBR this month. Some, I’m finally getting my chaotic good self to finish a couple of books while also getting geared up to take on my 2021 New Year’s Resolution book style, which I will be telling you all about very soon and can’t wait. Let’s get scrolling!

The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy #3)
Author: Deborah Harkness
With season 2 of A Discovery of Witches coming out very soon, and being a year behind on getting to this, it’s time to light a fire under my ass and get to this. I’ve been missing Diana and Matthew something fierce too.

Where Dreams Descend
Author: Janella Angeles
After hearing-er, reading-all of the positive and enchanting ARC reviews about this book, I was desperate to have it. Luckily, I was gifted it for Christmas, so I am jumping all over it! The cover and tag line give me some serious drama vibes with a hint of rich and titillating darkness that I just want to reach out and touch.

House of Leaves
Author: Mark Z. Danieleski
This was another Christmas gift from a dear friend. I’d never even heard of this book until it came to my doorstep and once I look inside I felt like I fell into The Twilight Zone.

There you have it! A few new ones and some that are ready to be dominated! I’m actually really excited to finally reach the ones that have been on my immediate TBR for the last few months. I want to get into some of the book I’ve been aching for this year. I’m also making a goal to be more active. Last year got real tricky as life flipped everybody upside down. But, I want to get more out to you guys and will be working harder to do so.
Also! Don’t forget to check out the book giveaway I’m holding for The June Boys by Court Stevens and The Twin by Natasha Preston. You can find the info and rules at my Top 10 book of 2020. Hope to hear from you, loves!
