Happy Holidays, book lovers!
There are all kinds of yummy, delicious goodies that we love to fatten ourselves up with. And why not!? It’s one of the merriest times of the year! So, inspired (and bloated) by these treats, I have a book tag for you.
Sugar Cookies: a book that was so sugary, melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy.
Everything about Caraval by Stephanie Garber had me swoon-y. Vivid, rich, and adventurous. I ate this book whole and greedily.

Gingerbread Men: A character that ran away with your heart.
Jack Deveaux will hold a massive part of me. A hell or a fighter and that Cajun accent. Queue my shudder of delight and pleasure. Every time I reread The Arcana Chronicles I always fall apart for him, rough edges and all.
Hard Tack candy: a hard book, but filled with intrigue.
Anna Karenina
Author: Leo Tolstoy

This is still at the top of my doozy list. I have yet to meet a book that compete with it. Though long, it’s a splendid and worthy dramatic tale.
Rice Crispies: a book that you were surprised you enjoyed.
Ash Princess
Author: Laura Sebastian

I tried to avoid this one because there was so much hype. Yep, I’m one of those that doesn’t feel too drawn to majorly hyped ones, but this one just fell into my lap and really liked it. Danger, loss, strength. A true phoenix rising out of the ashes.
Cupcakes: a bedazzling book you fall back on.
Poison Princess
Author: Kresley Cole

Okay, so this isn’t so much as bedazzling as it is apocalyptic but it does bedazzle me. LOL. This book started an obsession for me. I love it endlessly. End of the world. Deadly game. Survival. And amidst all of that, unexpected budding emotion in the rough.
Trail Mix: a book that lest you with mixed feelings.
Dreamfall
Author: Amy Plum

Not bad, but not what I hoped for. The exploration of dreams has always been fascinating and this one gave me some serious creep vibes yet didn’t do so when I read. Still, I was left curious enough to want to read the next book.
Chocolate. A book you immediately fell in love with and had to get more by the author.
The Elemental Assassin series
Author: Jennifer Estep

So, I started this out of order and now have to collect the rest before I continue because I love it so much! Estep gave me something thrilling and exciting and right up my genre alley.

Peppermint Bark: A tough book to swallow.
The Girls
Author: Emma Cline

Really excellent. Phenomenal writing that sunk to my bones and chilled me. It twisted me up good even after I finished it. Definitely recommend it but it left me a little disturbed. Dark and intense and it’ll wipe the innocence out of you, but it’s an outstanding novel. Pretty Sure Charles Manson would find this interesting.
In the spirit of the holiday season, I tag everybody so all of you can enjoy this fun tag!
More to come soon…
