Hello, book cult!
The end of September is here! The nights are getting colder. The sun is setting sooner, much to my chagrin. But still, at the end of the day it’s just nice to sit back, relax with a drink, which is a whole lot of tea lately, and scroll through the blogs.
So, while you nurse whatever drink you’re drinking, take a scroll and catch up on any reviews you might’ve missed from this month in this round-up. I hope you’ve had a good month. It’s been alright on my end, but if you’ve been with me for a while you know that I am jacked and stoked for October and HALLOWEEN! Until then, here’s the end of the month wrap-up.
Storm and Fury (The Harbinger #1)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

A girl raised in a community of warden, gargoyle protectors of the world. She’s quickly set on the path to find her protector after the community is attacked and he’s kidnapped. What she discovers will redefine her sheltered life.
Cracked Kingdom (The Royals #5)
Author: Erin Watt

Easton is determined to help the girl he loves anyway he can after she loses her memory due to a car accident. But, will he continue to drown in unbearable secrets and heartache or overcome it to be who he wants to be for her?
Bitter Blood (MV #13)
Author: Rachel Caine

Morganville is changing but not for the better. Claire always knew this day would come but not like this. Not in the sense that it’s open season on the human residents of the town. Claire suspects something isn’t right with the Found of the town and what she discovers put her life in jeopardy.
Rage and Ruin (The Harbinger #2)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

The beginning of the end is nigh. Wardens are popping up dead. Meanwhile, Trin’s new protecter, Zayne is nothing short of a pain though at the same time she’s falling in love him. Talk about complicated.
The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires
Author: Grady Hendrix

A vampire comes to a quiet suburbia neighborhood and shakes things up for the grisly. Children start disappearing and reappear dead and bloodless. Patricia won’t let this go on and chance her own kids being next.
Favorite Book this Month: Definitely Bitter Blood. It’s a major game changer in the MV-verse and rattles me every time I read it.
Least Favorite Book this Month: So, I don’t have a least favorite, but because I need to get out of being indecisive I must pick one. It’s going to have to be Rage and Ruin. That’s only because Zayne was being a total jerkface with an attitude that made me want to smack him so hard his head spun. Pretty lame reason and it’s so minor but landed the book here.
More to come soon…
-K.
