Right now the sun is setting not only on a long day but also on February. You’re sitting back and relaxing after eating dinner and ready to forget about that one customer that riled you up at work today because they’re a dink and don’t matter. With that relaxed mindset, let’s stroll through the end of the month wrap-up!

Wild dares. Crazy prizes. Vee has taken the plunge and joined the game if only to prove that she’s not the shadow of her best friend. The dares grow dangerous and NERVE knows more about her than they should, personal things. Can she get out or is it too late?

We Are Pirates
Author: Daniel Handler
Scarlet Reader
Bloomsbury

A father and daughter desperately search for happiness and freedom discover something more albeit through the avenue of piracy and a life-changing opportunity. when they collide they realize so much more.

Favorite Book: The Morganville Vampires Vol. 2 is a major favorite of mine. Fast-paced, thrilling, and always leaving me desperate for more. I love how Claire really jumped in head-first into her new role. Others may still view her as a child, but they better realize she isn’t anymore. Her choices really reflect and even if they seem naive, so is everyone else then.

Least Favorite Book: Nerve really deflated me. I expected something exciting and daring, but this just didn’t cross the line for me. Vee came across as weak and her best friend really annoyed. The characters in general overall were over the top in one way or another. Granted YA does get that way, but the story just got lost and didn’t have that much reach.

More to come soon…

  -K.
