Sundown Rundown – October 2019

Hey there, bookworms!

October is coming to an end and so is the beautiful warm sunlight! IT’s nearly time for daylight’s saving time and I’m not ready to be swathed it eternal, cold darkness. Ugh. LOL. I hope you’ve had a spooky month. I sure have! From pumpkin carving to scary movies, I love Halloween. Now, I’ll spend the next 364 days getting ready for next year’s. Oh! I almost forgot! This year, I dressed up as one of my favorite final girls. Sidney Prescott of the Scream series. Here are a few photos! Now, I know the quality blows, but hey, I think I look pretty good!

With the sun going down, so goes my reading month. Tis the season to get cozy with some hot cocoa or tea. So, here’s an opportunity to catch up on reviews you might’ve missed this month!

Favorite Book This Month: So hard to choose, but I’m going with The Haunted. It really put me in the spooky place for the spooky season. Of course, reading this at 2AM also helped get me freaked out when crazy shit happened in the book. Definitely a great read for those who love horror. Action, jumpy parts, and unexpected revelations, but if you’re looking for that deep thought-filled type of horror that’s more psychological then don’t read this. This is a sheer fun horror read, like if you went to see a horror movie.

Least Favorite Book of the Month: Beyond Magic didn’t really do anything for me. Even as one of those mass-market quickies, I was just kind of bored with it, though it had a few small moments that were interesting. Just meh.

Six books this month. It’s not what I hoped for, but no complaints. I did warn you guys I may be getting spaced out with my posts. Life has been busy lately, so I do apologize for not posting as often as I wish I could. I hope you have a fun and safe Halloween.

More to come soon…
