Speedy Quote Sunday

Speedy Quote Sunday

Lovers of books!

First off, I’m so sorry for my lateness with Speedy Quote Sunday. There was a tech issue and it didn’t publish. If you thought it did earlier today, well, it screwed up. I apologize, guys.

So I have some great quotes from books that make me happy and I enjoy them.

“Being a doll is an odd thing. I spend more time on the shelf than at play.” (King’s Cage, Victoria Aveyard)

The description used really made me shudder with some creeps. Dolls can be creepy. But this was also a perfect way to describe feeling useless, fragile, and thrown away.

“There is no shame in fear, my father told me, what matters is how we face it.” (A Clash of Kings, George R. R. Martin)

Very true! Fear is sticky business and to be afraid of things is natural. Facing those things is more terrifying, but such an adrenaline rush!

“If I’m going to die, I’d like to actually live first. And then I’ll die.” (Five Feet Apart, Rachael Lippincott)

This. So important! We’ll all die someday, but don’t forget to live!

More to come soon…
