Valentine’s Day Book Tag

Scarlet Reader

Hello my epic booknerds!!

So, I discovered this book tag from The Sassy Book Geek  and it looked like so much fun! Here’s to Valentine’s Day and that strange weird emotion and chemical that makes everyone gushy and awkward. You know, love?

1.) Stand Alone Book You Love

Charlie St. Cloud

Thee Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud

Author: Ben Sherwood

This is such a beautiful book. Definitely a favorite of mine. While breaching the world of the supernatural, it does so in a delicate and sweepingly romantic way that give my emotions palpitations.

2.) Dystopian Book You Love

Scarlet Reader

Red Queen

Author: Victoria Aveyard

I’ve read Red Queen, but am going tot reread it since I finally got Glass Sword. I really enjoyed this book because it’s incredibly original and has me on edge for the entire ride.

3.) A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About

Scarlet Reader - LUX

LUX

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

This was a book that had me hooked from the start. I discovered it when it came into our bookstore and never would’ve given it a second thought because I don’t read much Sci-Fi. Then a friend of mine recommended it and now it sits on my favorites shelf. There’s never been much talk about this book. It’s like a little secret that’s juicier than a peach.

4.) Favorite Book Couple

Scarlet Reader - Morganville Vampires: Glass Houses & The Dead Girls Dance

Shane Collins & Claire Danvers

They were and are still one oof my tops loves. They are one hell of a team and so sweet. I could get totally spoilery, but personally, I’d rather you just go read The Morganville Vampires.

5.) Book That Other People Love But You Haven’t Read Yet

Scarlet Reader
Goodreads

Divergent

Author: Veronica Roth

I keep getting told I should read this and I want to and at some point I will, but I’ve got a long list of other books to get to first.

6.) A Book With Red on the Cover

Scarlet Reader

Half Bad

Author: Sally Green

I’m getting ready to read this and I can’t wait.

7.) A Book With Pink on the Cover

The Scarlet Reader
Goodreads

A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares

Author: Krystal Sutherland

Okay, so it’s not just a romance, but a great novel about great superstitions, chasing death, and confronting mental illness.

8.) You were given a box of chocolate what fictional boyfriend/ or girlfriend would have given them to you.

Poison Princess
Scarlet Reader

I’m going to have to roll with Jack Deveaux of Poison Princess. It’s tricky to decide because while I fangirl, I don’t usually think about fictional boyfriends LOL. Since I’m put on the spot, he is definitely a top pick.

9.) You are Single on Valentines Day. What Book would you read? What TV show would you watch? What Movie would you watch?

Scarlet ReaderScarlet Reader .   Scarlet Reader

Book: Legendary by Stephanie Garber

(I have yet to read this because I’m waiting on the paperback release. I’m so excited to read it that I’m bursting at the seams.)

TV Show: Teen Wolf

Movie: Scream

10.) You are in the Book Store. All of a Sudden you get shot with an arrow by Cupid. What New Release will you love?

Scarlet Reader
Goodreads

Five Feet Apart

Author: Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, Tobias Iaconis

It’s not a NEW New Release, but I really want to read this. It’s super sappy and I have ea feeling I’m going to cry.
