Midnight Tease

Midnight Tease - Giphy

Hello, bookworm clan!

I hope you all had a great New Year’s Eve. Me, I worked and then partied on my couch—got to be cozy and watch the Breaking Bad marathon. I’ve never seen the show before now, but I’m kind of enjoying it. I think Jesse is my favorite. He’s quite the wildcard. Walt kind of scares me. It’s the serious mustache I believe. LOL.

It’s the midnight hour and if you’re up right now then you’re like me, a night owl…vampire…werewolf…pick your weirdness. Me? I like puppies. Also, it’s nearly 0 degrees Fahrenheit outside (-17 celsius), so that body heat and fur would be really nice and warm. Baaack on subject. Midnight. Right. Midnight means it’s teaser time! Below is what’s on the menu this month. Some of you already know about a couple of these books. There has been a little rearranging however.

Now that December is over, I can get back on track! The holiday season can be quite hectic, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Here’s what’s coming your way from my bookshelf!

Coming Soon

The Apollo Trials
Author: Rick Riordan

Hidden Oracle-Dark Prophecy

I do apologize. I’ve been stuck in Dracula. This is up next! Very excited. I love Greek mythology and I like that this is the third—can I say generation?—of the Percy Jackson realm.

Dead of Winter & Day Zero (Arcana Chronicles)
Author: Kresley Cole

Dead of Winter-Day Zero

I’m VERY excited to continue this series. This series has really gotten  my blood sizzling with excitement and intrigue. But that may be because my love life is a little lacking and I wish, just a little, that it were exciting like this-heart pounding and yearning. *shrug* I love the constant action and emotion coaster this series puts me through. I really enjoy the nonstop twists that Kresley is giving me here, too. I’m hoping (fingers crossed) she keeps it up.

Also, while I’m only just starting the third book of this series, the fifth book, The Dark Calling, will be coming out on February 13th, 2018.

Dark Calling

Author: Ali Benjamin

The Thing About Jellyfish

I’m very interest in this one because of how it approaches a child dealing and questioning the parts of life that we all question-death. It’s almost fearless, difficult, and hard to put into words and I’m pretty sure I’ll cry during this book. We’ll see.

Dracula
Author: Bram Stoker

F-D-JH

I’ve completed Frankenstein (review here) in which I had a strong focus on themes. I’ve read Dracula already so I’m just getting caught up again. I’m currently growing a theory the big bad, Dracula. Stay tuned!

Diary of a Sex Fiend
Author: Abby Lee

Diary of a Sex Fiend

I wish I had a better excuse than being extremely exhausted before bed, that’s it. I usually read this before bed, but I’ve been really tired during this holiday season. I am nearly finished so hopefully I will have the review up soon.
